The storefront at 455 South Avenue is home to Stars & Stripes The Flag Store, owned and operated by the Veterans Outreach Center (VOC). All proceeds support programs and services for disabled, disadvantaged and homeless veterans. The goal is to provide a better quality product at a fair price backed by friendly and excellent customer service. Veterans Outreach Center, Inc. (VOC), the nation’s oldest community-based veterans outreach effort, is an independent, not-for-profit charitable organization. Since 1973, we have helped improve the quality of life of more than 32,000 veterans and their dependents by providing a variety of services
— counseling, benefits assistance, employment, housing, life-skills and outreach.

Stars & Stripes The Flag Store is the first retail venture of the VOC. Opened on Veterans Day, 1999, the store is unique not only in its merchandise, but also its purpose: to become a source of financial support for the programs and services of the VOC. Committed to providing quality products at competitive prices, Stars & Stripes The Flag Store is the only source for flags and related items that uses all proceeds to provide programs and services to the men and women who proudly served our country.
